For years to come - I'm a documentarian by nature. I firmly believe that our memories do not only bind us to the past, but give us an appreciation for former things that can breed present gratitude and future hope. When adoration is at its height, its our memories that reinforce it. When hurt and tears mark a season, it is our memories that are the glue, carrying us through, and reminding us of our best choices even during some of our worst ones. It's your wedding photos that you drag out on your 10th, 20th, and 30th anniversaries, exclaiming "look how far we've made it". The seemingly mundane is what makes up the majority of our lives, but its how we choose to reflect on our milestones that dictate many of those tiny decisions.

For those that argue that wedding photos are inessential, I hope there minds are sharp, because whether in joy or in grief, I'm quite certain that we will all one day long to sensuously relive the days of our lives most saturated in love and sentiment.

The Keepsake Box

A little collection of the moments I've been lucky enough to capture.

A young man in a beige suit and a young woman in a white wedding dress sitting together on stone steps outdoors, with a stone wall and a black metal lamp post in the background. The woman is leaning her head on the man's shoulder, and they are holding a bouquet of flowers.

A wedding day is not about bottling up scenes just to look back on after all is set and done. It has the tendency to move quick, but nonetheless, I believe it's beckoning us to slow down and relish in every detail. Home is not home because of a fancy blueprint. It's home because of the laughters, the stains, the tears, and the affections that it harbored. I don't want the imagery to be merely orchestrated, then one day admired. My intention is to create spaces where genuine affections are felt just as intensely as they would be in the most candid of moments.

A Documentation of Your Story

Photographer. Wife. Sentimentholic. Creature of habit. Chatty introvert. Minimalist at heart. Early bird. A Sipper. A Stroller. A sucker for a worn-out couch cushion and a home-cooked meal.

I'm sure it's no secret by now that I have pretty intense admiration for home and the philosophy that we dwell most where we love and where we are loved. To me, there is no greater feeling than walking in my front doors after even after just a night away. Even though I love my home, my love story, and my mundane moments like no other, there is something sacred about stepping out of my safe spaces and into someone else's. There is something so unique and yet so universal about each marriage. Your relationship is true to you in a way that it is to no one else. There will never be another you and your spouse. I love marriage and I love to be a witness to what can only be found exactly where you and your significant other stand. It is entirely authentic to you, completely original, and one of a kind. Every wedding day I am a part of is another phenomenon. With each, I'm more astonished by the power of devotion and kinship.
